Mountainview Park (Hamilton, ON)

We’ve featured two separate “nature-themed” play spaces for ages 18 months – 5 years, and 5 years – 12 years. The senior play pocket includes multiple routes of travel, an accessible transfer station for easy access, double vine climbers, a large spider climber, a bee with legs, a honeycomb, a dragonfly and spinning spider, and leaf seats!

We’ve featured a circuit of our rockscape rock steps, and GRFC log stumps to encourage active play, balancing challenges, but also activate the imagination of children exploring the playspace.  

The junior play area is a whimsical ECHO play system. It focuses on beginner level play, while offering multiple routes of travel, educational and sensory opportunities such as the bells panel, spin chimes, and decorative braille for ages 18 months – 5 years.

The playground was awarded a National Demonstration Site award for "Play On" meaning that we used the latest research to design and create a playground that promotes youth fitness.

This playground is fully accessible with engineered wood fibre surfacing, multiple transfer areas, and ground level play opportunities.
