Park N Play can coordinate playground and park inspections for you to ensure your new project is fully compliant with CSA standards. After the report is complete, you will be provided with a detailed report on the findings. This will include on-site measurements, photographs, and any identified potential hazards. Under CSA guidelines, hazards are classified in A, B, and C categories.
After each installation, our team will conduct a thorough review to ensure CSA compliance. When it comes to the official CSA inspection, we outsource that to a third-party inspector.
This is done to ensure there is no conflict of interest and to make sure that you're getting a park that is as safe and compliant as possible.
However, if you're interested in getting an independent inspection done, we can put you in touch with the various third-party inspectors that we use and have found to be excellent at their craft.
Please fill out the contact form with your details and we would be happy to help.
The CSA playground inspection is a comprehensive inspection used to ensure play structures are compliant with the CSA standards.
The inspection and subsequent report will contain detailed measurements of the site, photographs to document the inspection and any safety hazards.
The inspection will be completed by a CPSI certified individual that reviews the design and installation to ensure it is compliant with the latest version of CSA Z614 standards.
Each safety hazard is categorized into three areas:
A: life-threatening or debilitating. This can include entanglement, structure failure, surfacing violations, etc.
B: Serious, non-disability injury. This can include crush and shear risks, sharp edges, etc.
C: May cause minor injury or equipment is not compliant with the latest CSA standards. This may be because the equipment complies with an earlier version of CSA Z614, lack of appropriate handrails, missing signage, etc.
We do conduct internal inspections of all of our completed work to ensure CSA compliance. However, we don't perform the certified inspection ourselves, as we believe that could be a conflict of interest. We prefer to use third-party inspectors to ensure 100% compliance. This results in a better scenario for both us and you.
