Alberta is Canada's largest producer of honey, and the City of Edmonton has more beekeepers than any other Canadian city. That's why the community wanted the new playground at Lendrum Park to be "abuzz" with children.
Here you'll see children exploring a custom Honey Bee Tree, tunneling through a Bee Hive and running along the custom poured rubber surfacing that looks like the flow of spilled honey.
If you are looking for ways to make your community's history and culture stick, or just eager for a creative play theme, Park N Play Design Co. Ltd. can help you create a sweet place to play!
"Truly a classic, Lendrum is a playground one we love, no matter how many times we visit! The main structure extends into a cool obstacle course area, with everything from climbers to balance beams. There are 3 super slides on the big park, and one little slide on the smaller park. The smaller park is full of cool bee details, from bee climbing-holds to honeycomb hideouts. This playground also has an outstanding splash park, swings (1 saucer, 2 standard and 2 baby) and spinners (a corkscrew spinner and two little leaf spinners) There’s a covered gazebo and plenty of benches and tables. The field beyond this playground serves as a sledding bowl in winter."
