Project Details

When the firefighters of Slave Lake approached us to build this fitness park in memory of Conner Lukan, a Slave Lake local and Humboldt Bronco, we knew we wanted to help.

It’s always incredible to see communities come together for each other and these firefighters led the way. They opened their hall to our crew (of former hockey players) and pitched in to help with park set up, in time for the park’s grand opening in October and a national convention of firefighters in Slave Lake this month.

To help them create a Thrive 900 Fitness park in Conner’s name, we worked with Gametime and On Course to match a donation for the money raised in the community.

The park itself features a variety of different training stations, from gymnast bars to inverted climbs, giving a space for the community be active, play outside and get stronger together.

We are so proud to have helped the community of Slave Lake build a space like this and honour one of their own.
