Gasper Family Splash Park (Rosetown, SK) Rosetown Saskatchewan has a new place to play, honoring the Gasper Family and all the ways they loved to play.
After a tragic accident in 2018, the community knew they wanted to honor the memory and lasting impact that Troy and Carissa Gasper, with their children Kael, Shea and Maks, have had in their town. The Gasper Family Foundation was formed and set to building a family splash park, a place to bring community together in fun, creating happy memories together.
Covering 4000 sqft, the park has an eco-friendly water recirculation system and hosts over 30 different features including many custom-built pieces designed to honor the Gaspers, such as a replica of Troy’s local hockey jersey along with a hockey stick feature that shoots water directly into a hockey net! The park also includes a musical feature to honor Carissa’s passion for music, a softball theme to honor the family’s love of sport. The heart of the park features 5 colorful heart-shaped loops, with the children’s initials engraved in.
We are so grateful to have been a part of helping this community come together to honour the memory and lasting impact the Gasper Family has made.
As Danielle Pearce, Secretary of the Gasper Family Foundation, said:
“IT’S SUCH A FITTING TRIBUTE TO THE FAMILY, THEY WERE SO FUN LOVING AND LOVED TO PLAY TOGETHER.”
