Cy Becker Park (Edmonton, AB)

We were proud to work with Qualico Communities to bring a new playground and splash park to Cy Becker, a new community in NE Edmonton which earned recognition as a finalist for the 2019 Excellence in Home Building Award for Best New Community.

As one of Alberta's first bush pilots, Cy Becker earned a reputation as a "flying ace" - a reputation we were excited to be able to bring into the playground design with airplane themed play equipment.

"We love how the main structure is designed in the shape of a plane, complete with the propeller on the front and the staircase made of trunks and air mail packages. There’s also an adorable plane rider for the little ones. This playgrounds has great slides, climbers and monkey bar variations under a bright rainbow stained glass flower! It has the squishiest soft rubber base, a paved loop perfect for bikes or scooters and even a little spray park! This playground has one baby swing and one big kid swing and a great hill for sledding come winter. An ice ribbon is also built on the paved loop for skating."
