Project Details

Catch a wave of fun at Sherwood Park's stunning new natural playground, Cambrian Playground! This vibrant space features the ultra-fun Wave climber, a wooden structure that can be scaled from every angle. With climbing holds, built-in netting, rope climbers, and more, the Wave climber is the star of the playground. It's complemented by smaller wave structures and an array of log climbers—some upright, some stacked in a log jam, and others with added rope elements for extra adventure.

Across a cement pathway, you'll find a smaller toddler playground, designed as a miniature version of the main climber. This area includes logs, a climbing panel, and a slide, making it perfect for little ones. The playground also offers two low swings for toddlers and, in the main area, three larger swings—two standard and one saucer swing.

Designed and built by Earthscape Play and Park N Play Design, Cambrian Playground shares the same creative touch as some of the area's other beloved playgrounds, including Laurier Park Coyote Playground, Parc Reunis in Beaumont, and Rondeau Park in St. Albert. The playground is set in sand, with a cement pathway winding through the park. Three overhangs, featuring colors that mirror the wave climber, are likely to become picnic shelters, adding to the inviting atmosphere of this must-visit play space.
