As part of the City’s Neighbourhood Renewal Program, the City of Edmonton worked closely with established community of Montrose to identify and implement improvements to parks and recreation accessibility in the neighbourhood, including improved pathway access, lighting and off-leash dog park areas. This effort also included the construction of Santa Rosa Park, a modern, new playground for community fun. We were honored to be able to help the City bring this park to life.
The playground was designed to be a National Demonstration Site for Promoting Physical Play and features elements addressing 10 core elements of play: Auditory, Balancing, Climbing, Gathering, Imaginative, Manipulative, Spinning, Swinging, Sliding and Upper Body. Equipment like climbers, curved balanced beams and our popular Expression Swings, encourage children of all ages to create, learn and grow together in play.
The playground is now officially open and we’re so excited to have been a part of this new place to play in Edmonton!
